The challenge
Cerámica Italia wanted to introduce room visualization to its website to improve the customer experience and increase sales.
Cerámica Italia products are designed for luxury, high-investment projects, which come with high expectations. The manufacturer and retailer wanted a room visualizer that could help each customer become the designer in their renovation projects, rather than just following the suggestions of a salesperson.
“Customers are investing a lot of money in our products, so we needed a room visualizer that would inspire their designs and give them the confidence to purchase,” said Kimberly Soto Amaya, Digital Marketing Specialist at Cerámica Italia.
The average age of Cerámica Italia customers is over 35, and not all of them are tech-savvy. The company needed an easy-to-use room visualizer that would bring its products to life as realistically as possible.

The solution
Cerámica Italia considered multiple room visualization providers before deciding to partner with Roomvo. The manufacturer was impressed by the quality of Roomvo’s user experience (UX) and the company’s focus on making continual improvements to its products, especially the extensive data insights that the Roomvo PRO platform offers.
“Roomvo is continually releasing improvements and features, which are so helpful for our business,” said Soto Amaya. “For instance, new insights are always being added to our analytics dashboard, like the new Benchmarking feature that helps us compare the performance of our visualizer with our competitors.”
In January 2023, the visualizer went live on the manufacturer’s e-commerce site and in its showrooms. By showing how products will look in their homes, Roomvo gives shoppers the confidence to purchase. Roomvo allows shoppers to visualize multiple surfaces at once, including walls, floors, steps, and countertops. Shoppers can even compare different products side-by-side.
Through the Roomvo PRO portal, Cerámica Italia can see which colors, styles, and materials are being visualized most by consumers, helping to influence product development, marketing and other business decisions. In a recent example, the manufacturer released a new product line and noticed that one of the SKUs gained the most visualizations. Now, when marketing the product line, the manufacturer places the most visualized SKU front and centre for maximum impact.

The results
Since partnering with Roomvo, Cerámica Italia has seen an increase of over 40% in total sales.

The manufacturer launched a nationwide marketing campaign to support the launch of Roomvo, including digital advertising, social media promotion, and primetime commercials on national TV. Following the launch of Roomvo and its promotional campaign, Cerámica Italia saw a 27.7% increase in visitors to its website.
Cerámica Italia has also seen an increase in engagement on its website, with average time spent on-site increasing by 32%.
